Karang Bolong Beach is located in Cinangka District, Serang, Banten. It is located around the coast of Anyer and Carita Sambolo or approximately 50 km from Serang or 140 km from Jakarta, about 11 km towards the south of Anyer, or about 30 km north of Labuan. This beach is the beach recreation area where there is a large rock in the middle hole with a naturally formed arch. Above the rock there is a placeto make observations and there is also small forest which provided seats to rest while enjoying the beautiful scenery with a view to the sea.
Karang Bolong most likely this is because due to eruption of Krakatau in 1883 which according to history, at the time the tsunami waves resulting from the impact of the eruption of the volcano reaches a height of 60m. There are also rumors that actually Karang Bolong was originally named Coral Suraga, because supposedly the first time ever to have lived a hermit named Suryadilaga who imprisoned the place until the end.
When the weather is sunny, cloudless, the faint shadow of Mount Krakatau would look standing upright in the middle of the sea. Enjoying the beautiful scenery of Karang Bolong Beach will rise a sense of admiration to the beauty of nature.
